بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم
Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him).
Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him) was a prophet of the nation of Aad. Aad belonged to the old Samia tribe of Arabia. Aad is an Arabic word, it means, high and famous. The nation of Ad was also called Amalek in some places:
The nation passed 2000 years before Jesus. In the Holy Qur'an, it has been called the nation that came after Noah (peace be upon him). Aad settled in Hadramout, one of the best areas in Arabia. Their population had gone to Iraq.
These people were also idolaters. What idols did they worship? He was an expert in carving idols. Their false gods were also the idols of Noah's people, Sawa, Yaghouth, Yuq and Nasr. Besides them, one idol was Samud and another was Hatar.
It is said that the idols of Noah's people went underground due to a storm. Iblis Mardud told the people about them, they took these idols out of the ground and started worshiping them. In fact, all of them were great elders. After their death, Satan put it in the hearts of the people of that time that a monument should be built in the places of worship of these elders, so these people made signs there.
Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him) is a descendant of Sam in the fifth generation of Noah (peace be upon him). The nation of Aad had thirteen families. Their settlements were from Amman to Hazrat Mut. They had all kinds of gardens. They used to build big and magnificent palaces to live in. They were very tall people. Allah Ta'ala had given them all the blessings of the world.
Who is more powerful than us today?
Blessings were being showered on them from the Lord of the Worlds. Apart from this, these people had fallen into idolatry. Allah sent Hazrat Hud as a prophet to guide them. You yourself were from his family. He preached to them again and again in these words: "O my people, give up idolatry. Worship one God, act with justice and justice, and refrain from oppression and injustice. The people of Aad were intoxicated with their power, this He did not listen.
As a result of this, the first chastisement began on him from Allah, the Most High. The first punishment was that it did not rain on them for three years. Their lands became deserts and their gardens were burnt.
Even on this, the rebelliousness of these people did not decrease, they did not stop shirk, they did not stop idolatry. Now, for eight days and seven nights, a fierce storm of wind came upon them. This wind also laid their gardens and palaces on the ground. The wind was so strong. That their animals and they themselves began to fly in the air, first they would fly and then they would fall on the ground with their heads and their heads would be smashed. Allah Ta'ala said:
"We cut off the generation of the deniers. ""
This means that since the entire nation of Ad Puri was destroyed. Therefore, the chain of their generation has ended.
Hazrat Hud (peace be upon him) and those who believed in him took refuge in a surrounded place during the time of punishment. It was strange. That big palaces fell down due to this stormy wind. But in this enclosed space the wind continued to blow as usual. Hud (peace be upon him) and his companions sat in this place in a calm manner. They did not suffer any kind of pain, after the destruction of the nation, these people came to Makkah. A storm of wind came upon the people of Aad, and Allah mentioned this in Surah Al-Haqqa of the Holy Qur'an:
translation The people of Aad were killed by a strong wind. She walked on them for seven nights and eight days. If you had been there, you would have seen this people fallen like the trunks of fallen palm trees. Have you seen any remnant of them?
