Umm ul Moimineen Hazrat Khadija (razi Allah taala anho |
This family was a very respected and very rich woman of Quraysh. We have written in the third chapter of this book that the people of Makkah used to remember her by the title of "Tahira" because of her chastity and piety. Seeing the morals and habits of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and the beauty of his appearance and perfection of character,
He himself expressed his desire to marry the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and then a formal marriage took place. Allama Ibn Athir and Imam Dhahabi state that the consensus of the entire ummah is that they should believe in the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) first and foremost in the beginning of Islam when there is opposition to him from all sides. In such a difficult time, there was only one person who was the source of solace in the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The steadfastness and perseverance with which he faced dangers and hardships in such horrible and dangerous times and the manner in which he offered his sacrifice in the presence of Prophethood with all his heart and soul is a special virtue to all the wives of the purified ones. Has achieved Therefore, Wali-ud-Din Iraqi states that the correct view and the authoritative religion is that Hazrat Khadijah (RA) is the best among the mothers of
Some hadiths have also been narrated on his virtues. Therefore, Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Hazrat Jibril (peace be upon him) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: O Muhammad! It is Khadijah who is bringing you a vessel containing food. When they come to you, greet them with the salutation of their Lord and with me, and give them the glad tidings that there is for them in Paradise a house of pearls, in which there will be no noise nor any distress. Imam Ahmad and Abu Dawood and Nisa'i narrate from Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas that the best of the women of Paradise are Hazrat Khadija, Hazrat Fatima, Hazrat Maryam and Hazrat Asiya. (May Allah be pleased with him)
(Zarqani Volume 3 Pages 1 to 5)
Imam Tabarani has narrated a hadith from Hazrat Ayesha (RA) that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) fed Hazrat Khadija (RA) the grapes of Paradise in this world. This hadith has also been narrated by Imam Sohaili.
(Zarqani Volume 1 Page 2)
Hazrat Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her) remained in the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for twenty five years. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) himself descended into his grave in the famous graveyard of Hajoon (Jannat al-Maali) in Makkah and buried him with his holy hands as the command of funeral prayer had not been revealed till that time. Therefore, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not offer his funeral prayers.
Millions of salutations to his companions and relatives
Millions of salutations to the Ahl al-Bayt of Prophethood
Millions of peace be upon the women of purity
Congratulations to the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on the occasion of his marriage to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). It is a statement of glory. Therefore, God Almighty said in the Holy Quran:
يَنِسَآءَ النَّبِيِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَاَحَدٍ مِّنَ النِّسَآءِ ِِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ
(Parties)
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like women if you are afraid of them.
In the second verse he said:
وَازْوَاجُه⁇ اُمَّهٰتُهُمْ
(Parties)
And his (Prophet's) wives are his mothers.
It is a common issue of the entire Ummah that the holy wives of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are like real mothers in two respects. One is that it is not permissible to marry anyone forever. Secondly, their reverence and respect is obligatory on every ummah in the same way as that of a real mother, but much more, but in the matter of sight and solitude, the ruling of the wives of the purified ones is not like that of a real mother. Because in the Holy Quran, Hazrat Haq Jal Jalala has said that:
وَ اِِذَا سَالَتُمُوْهُنَّ مَطَاعًا فَسْئَلُوْهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَآءِ حِجَابٍ
(Parties)
When you ask something from the wives of the Prophet, ask from behind the curtain.
A Muslim can see his real mother and talk to her in solitude, but it is obligatory for every Muslim to cover the sacred wives of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and it is haraam to sit with her in solitude.
In the same way, parents of real mothers, grandparents of boys and siblings of real mothers, uncles and aunts of boys, but parents of the wives of the purified ones, grandparents of the ummah and brothers of the wives of the purified ones. Sisters are not uncles of the Ummah.
This ruling applies to all the wives of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) whom the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) married, whether they died before the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He may have died later. All of them are the mothers of the ummah and for every ummah they are more worthy of respect and esteem than the real mother.
(Zarqani Volume 1 Page 2)
Historians differ slightly on the number of wives of the purified ones and the order of their marriages, but no one disagrees about the eleven ummahs of the believers, Hazrat Khadija and Hazrat Zainab bint Khazeema The Almighty had passed away in front of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) but nine wives were present at the time of the death of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Out of the mothers of these eleven nations, six families were the beacons of the noble families of Quraysh whose blessed names are:
(1) Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (2) Ayesha bint Abu Bakr Siddiq (3) Hafsa bint Umar Farooq (3) Umm Habiba bint Abu Sufyan (4) Umm Salma bint Abu Umayyah (3) Sooda bint Zamza
The four wives of the purified ones were not from the Quraysh family but from other Arab tribes.
(1) Zainab bint Jahsh (2) Maimuna bint Harith (3) Zainab bint Khazeema “Umm Al-Masakin” Were
There is no disagreement among any historian that the Prophet (peace be upon him) first married Hazrat Khadija (may Allah be pleased with her) and as long as she was alive he did not marry another woman. ۔
