#Shahab_Aldin Muhammad #Ghauri belonged to Sur #Pashtun tribe.  After the death of Saif-ud-Din Sani, Ghias-ud-Din Ghauri ascended the throne of the #Sultanate_Ghoria and he permanently conquered #Ghazni in 1173 AH (567 AH) and installed Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri on the throne, whose real name was Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri  Is.  Moizuddin Muhammad Ghauri on the throne of Ghazni.

Ghias-ud-Din also conquered Herat and #Balkh during this period and made #Harat his capital.

"Although Sultan #Shahab_Aldin_Ghori was his brother's deputy, he ruled Ghazni as a # Independent_Rule and established a permanent place in history by conquering present #Pakistan and #North_India.

In 1192, Sultan Shahab-ud-Din Ghauri defeated the Hindu Maharaja Prithviraj in the Second Battle of Tarain and formally established Islamic rule in northern India.

After the death of his brother in 598 AH, he became the ruler of the entire #Ghauri_Sultanate.

*Military operations of Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri*

They started from the area of present day Pakistan and entered Pakistan through Gomal Pass instead of the famous Khyber Pass.  He first attacked Multan and Ochh, which again became a stronghold of the Ismaili sect after the fall of the Ghaznavids.  On the one hand, these Ismailis had close ties with the Fatimid caliphs of Egypt.  And on the other hand with the Hindus of India. The Shahabudine Ghauri and Ghauri ruler, like ordinary Muslims, recognized the Abbasid caliphate  (khilafat e Abbasia) and considered the activities of the Fatmies to be against the interests of the Muslims.

 *Conquests*

Muhammad Ghauri conquered both Multan and Ochh in 1175 AH (571 AH), then Muhammad Ghauri conquered Peshawar in 1179 AH (575 AH) and Debal in 576 AH (1182 AH).  And the borders of the Ghauri Empire to the shores of the #Arabian_Sea.#Lahore and its environs were still under the control of the #Ghaznavi family, whose government had moved to Lahore after the Jahansuz attack on Ghazni.  Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri captured Lahore in 1186 AH (582 AH) and completely overthrew the Ghaznavid dynasty.

*Majority of Hindu accept Islam in droves*

In the time of Shahabuddin, majority of non-Muslims converted to Islam.  Between the Jhelum River and the Indus River lived a warrior named #Ghakhar who had a Muslim prisoner.  This Muslim taught them the virtues of Islam which they listened to with great interest.  One day their chief said, "If I become Muslim, what will your king do to me?"  The Muslim prisoner replied that if you become a Muslim, I assure you that the king will treat you very well.  When the chief of the Ghakhar nation heard this, he accepted Islam.  The Muslim reported his conversation to Sultan Shahabuddin in a letter.  In response, Shahabuddin rewarded the Sardar and gave him the jagir of the area.

After that his people also converted to Islam.  Before converting to Islam, Ghakhar was afflicted with many evils, one of which was "daughter murder".  These people used to kill girls like the Arabs of pre-Islamic times.  After accepting Islam, this evil ritual also came to an end. In present day Pakistan, the Pathans of the hilly areas of #Balochistan also converted to Islam at the same time.

This was the period when #Khawarizm_family ruled over #Khorasan and #Turkistan after #Seljuqs.  The Ghurids had constant battles with this family.  After Ghias-ud-Din, these battles continued in the time of Shahab-ud-Din.  In connection with these battles, Shahab-ud-Din reached Khwarizm in 601 AH. But there he was defeated and it was learned that Shahabuddin Ghauri had been killed in this battle.  When this rumor spread, the people of Punjab revolted. Muhammad Ghauri immediately came to #Punjab and suppressed the revolt. But after suppressing the revolt, when he was returning, an Ismaili Fatimi (Sabai) invader attacked him on the bank of Jhelum river and martyred him.

 *Shrine of Shahabuddin*

His shrine is located at a distance of 17 km from Chakwal Mor GT Road in Chauhan village of Sohawa tehsil of Jhelum district. With the martyrdom of Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri, the rule of Ghauri family also came to an end.  In the areas of Herat and Ghazni, the government of Khawarizm Shah was established, and in the Indian subcontinent, Ghulam Qutbuddin Aibak, a loyalist of Muhammad Ghauri, established a permanent Islamic government, known as the Sultanate of Slaves.
